Membership Commitment

I have personally accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour.
By making this commitment, I am deciding to make Harvest City Church my spiritual home.
I have been water baptized, or I’m intending to be water baptized in the near future.
I understand that it is my personal responsibility to keep growing in my relationship with Christ.
As far as I am able, I will try and outwork the Church's vision in my own life.

By regular Sunday attendance.

By participation in ministries and groups.

By serving on a team.

I accept that if I depart from the faith, cease to live a life consistent with Christ’s teaching, or fail to attend church without a valid reason for more than 6 months, my membership shall cease.
I commit myself to uphold the 5 phase commitment to God and to my Church family by the following:
1. I will protect the unity of the Church.
- By being motivated by love towards fellow believers.
- By refusing to gossip and by actively seeking ways of resolving all negatives, positively.
- By following the leadership principles of Harvest City Church.
  - Romans 14:19 (Philips) - “So let us concentrate on the things which make for harmony, and on the growth of our fellowship together.”
    Romans 15:5 (Living) - “Living in complete harmony with each other – each with the attitude of Christ toward each other.”
    1 Peter 1:22 (Good News) - “Have a sincere love for your fellow believers, love one another earnestly with all your hearts.”
    Ephesians 4:29 (NIV) - “Do not let unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs.”
    Hebrews 13:17 (NIV) - “Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give an account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would not be of advantage to you.”
